A hole for the new door in the back of the lab has been made and boarded up.

A proctective barrier has been installed in the back hall where a hole will be knocked in the wall for a new door. This barrier will help cut down on dust and noise while the hole is made and the new door is installed.
Heavy construction during week of 5/22 will include breaking through north wall of lab. Plywood partitions will be installed for noise/ dust protection. Most work will be done early in morning before students/faculty arrive.

These two pictures are taken from roughly the same perspective in the labs. The picture on the right was taken last fall and the one on the left was taken after removal of the wall dividing the two labs.

This shut-down was originally scheduled for the 20-21 May weekend. We will keep minimal exhaust air flowing in the wing during the shut-down.

The demo machine arriving on site. It will be used for the heavy demolition in the labs.
